We are heading out of Zambia tomorrow morning. We are on our way to Johannesburg, South Africa. I just wanted to write this post as a thank you to all the people who have touched my life in Zambia. I fell in love with Zambia and the Zambian people. They are gentle, kind, respectful and gracious people who have a lot of love. They are the nicest and friendliest people I have ever met.
Just a few personal thank you’s:
Tony Frank and Roby Geevarghese from World Vision Chicago: Thank you so much for taking us in like you own family. You introduced us to Zambia and kept us safe. Thanks for being such awesome traveling buddies! Tony, thanks for being a kid (ghost pops and yellow). Roby thanks for sacrificing your pants to jelly and your princess hair to Zambian heat. We love you guys! This trip wouldn’t have happened with out you guys and I am so grateful that you worked to make my dream come true!
Collins from World Vision Zambia: Thank you so much for helping us capture our Zambian experience on film. The footage will help us at home convey the need and love in Zambia. Collins, thank you so much for being such a great person! You make my heart melt with your smile and fantastic personality. Thanks for the bus songs!
Muna from World Vision Zambia: Thank you so much for being a great scheduler (keeping us on time) and leader on our trip. Thank for helping us bridge the gap between us and the communities we visited. Thank you for your smile and your warm and friendly personality. Thanks for being a lot of fun!
Musonda from World Vision Zambia: Thank you so much for organizing this trip for us! Without you, this could have never been possible! Thanks for putting up with our family and traveling with us! You are a wonderful person.
Dave, Kristen, Allison and Megan from World Bicycle Relief: Thank you so much for allowing us to participate in giving out bikes. It was a fantastic experience! Thank you so much for loving your job and being passionate, loving people. Thank you so much for dinner and being great company. Kristen you are so vibrant and you have a spice for life! Can’t wait to see how we can work closer and more effectively with you!
Drew and Lifesong for Orphans: Thank you so much for having us for a day! We loved seeing the school and we really appreciate all the hard work and love you have given to the school. Thank you so much for the wonderful program you put on for us and thanks so much for lunch and for transporting us to and from the airport! We loved seeing what you are doing!
Thank you Zambia. I will miss you and you are crazy if you think I won’t be back soon!
God Bless,
-Kendall
ps. pray for safe travels to South Africa!
